Standard circular molds often use Poplar (softwood) because it is cheaper and easier to bend. However, for large-diameter columns or high-pressure pours, Poplar can deform. Eucalyptus is a hardwood with superior density (approx. 600-650+ kg/m³). It offers exceptional stiffness and load-bearing capacity, ensuring the column remains perfectly round during the pour.
